*ONLINE RELEASE DATE THURSDAY 11th JUNE 2020, AFTER 8PM*
The Paulie Project is a powerful, short documentary that captures the stories of local Northern Ireland families following the tragic loss of a loved one or that have sustained life changing injuries due to a road traffic collision. The project was developed by Road Safe NI’s, Newry, Mourne & Down Committee in partnership with their local NM&D Policing & Community Safety Partnership (PCSP).
The Paulie Project was created to use as an educational tool in addressing causation factors with road users in the general public and in particular young inexperienced drivers. The aim of the project is to change attitudes and behaviours of road users by connecting them (especially those who often feel they are invincible) to the families behind the statistics.
Road Safe NI launched the Paulie Project in Newry Omniplex on 29th January 2020 in partnership with Newry, Mourne & Down PCSP and were offering free public screenings across the various council areas prior to Covid 19 pandemic.
We are now releasing the documentary online from Thursday 11th June after 8pm and you can view through our facebook page https://www.facebook/roadsafeni or through youtube:
We are also taking bookings from secondary schools, colleges and community groups to present the documentary to their students once the schools reopen later in the year. If you would like our volunteers to bring the documentary to your local school or group please get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
